Spring Training is right around the corner and the the Oakland A's held their annual Fanfest. The A's have held their Fanfest for the last decade or so at the Oakland Coliseum, it was a deal that you had to pay for and tickets were usually sold out within three minutes of them going on sale. Well, this year the A's held at Jack London Square and it was free and they drew more people:
A's mascot-Stomper |
Long time A's Spanish Play by Play man Amaury Pi-Gonzalez |
Rickey Henderson of the A's mascot race |
Rollie Fingers of the A's mascot race |
One of player Q&A sessions Coach Chip Hale (4) and Outfielder Mark Canha (20) |
Pitcher Ryan Dull |
Outfielder Jake Smolinski |
A's TV analyst and ex player Ray Fosse |
Third Baseman Adan Rosales |
Q&A with Trevor Plouffe (3), Marcus Semien (20) and Adam Rosales (16) |
Mark Hamil |
Tom Hanks |
so cool that it was free and available to anyone.
ReplyDeleteI love the images of the famous people of Oakland. Very creative! I would love to go to one of the Fan days. Whenever the O's had them in Baltimore, we would always have to work or something. It sounds like a good time, Patrick!
ReplyDeleteRicky and Rollie, now that's old school! I loved being able to hop a train at the Fremont station and go to a game. Sigh!.
ReplyDeleteHoping for a banner year for them in 2017. #FridayFrivolity
The Red Sox truck left for Fenway South today! Bring on baseball season!!
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a jays fan myself, but looks like a fun day
