2017 Oakland A's Fanfest

Spring Training is right around the corner and the the Oakland A's held their annual Fanfest. The A's have held their Fanfest for the last decade or so at the Oakland Coliseum, it was a deal that you had to pay for and tickets were usually sold out within three minutes of them going on sale. Well, this year the A's held at Jack London Square and it was free and they drew more people:

A's mascot-Stomper
Long time A's Spanish Play by Play man Amaury Pi-Gonzalez
Rickey Henderson of the A's mascot race
Rollie Fingers of the A's mascot race
One of player Q&A sessions Coach Chip Hale (4) and Outfielder Mark Canha (20)
Pitcher Ryan Dull
Outfielder Jake Smolinski
A's TV analyst and ex player Ray Fosse
Third Baseman Adan Rosales
Q&A with Trevor Plouffe (3), Marcus Semien (20) and Adam Rosales (16)
This is a painting done by the legendary voice of the A's Bill King who passed in 2005. King will be going in the Hall of Fame this summer as he won the Ford Frick Award. King was a true renaissance man in every area.
The A's slogan this year is "Rooted in Oakland" and in the windows of a business they painted the iconic people who born in Oakland (with the A's mascot Stomper):

Mark Hamil

Tom Hanks
This year's Oakland A's Fanfest was wonderful. I am really stoked for the 2017 season. Hopefully we can add another Commissioner's Trophy to the collection:

  2. I love the images of the famous people of Oakland. Very creative! I would love to go to one of the Fan days. Whenever the O's had them in Baltimore, we would always have to work or something. It sounds like a good time, Patrick!

  3. Ricky and Rollie, now that's old school! I loved being able to hop a train at the Fremont station and go to a game. Sigh!.

Hoping for a banner year for them in 2017. #FridayFrivolity
