Music Monday: Songs with a Particular Instrument

Music Monday: Here are some songs with a particular instrument has moved me during the song. I love where I can hear instruments and can hear then clearly and stand out. That makes a memorable song for me. I know some may be instrumental songs but some thing in the instruments stand out in my mind:

The Melodica

The Piano:

The Guitar:

Sometime you just need the Keyboard in a hard rock song:

One of the best Saxophone solos ever:

And because I am hugely failed clarinet player (I played from fourth grade to six grade and was horrible), I always love songs with the clarinet. This pop song features a clarinet trio:

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

  4. Patrick,

Van Halen 'Jump' is a totally motivating song to get oneself moving. Men At Work 'Who Can That Be" is another great song with a fab saxophone player opening this number and highlights during the chorus. Thanks for joining the 4M gang on the dance floor, my friend! Have a boogietastic week! ;)

  5. A nice list of songs I haven't listened to in a long time. I never realized the opening of "And We Danced" was a melodica but I've seen various people play it and it fascinates me. Van Halen has put out a lot of good music (my humble opinion) over the years. And I can always go for some good saxophone playing. Just something about that sound. Thank you, Patrick!
