Japanese Prints in the Meiji Era

 


The Legion of Honor in San Francisco recently had an exhibit called "Japanese Prints in Transition". They were prints from the Meiji Era (1868-1912). The Meiji Era was the bridge between the Feudal Japan and the modern era:










It was really cool to see how Japan was changing during this time through the art.
