At Coyote Hills in Fremont there is a little spot that is very cool. It is a natural habitat and is a haven for bees, hummingbirds and butterflies:

The Legion of Honor has a great exhibit going on right on. The exhibit features the development of the arts in England from Henry VIII's seizure of the throne in 1485 to the death of his granddaughter Elizabeth I in 1603:

It great seeing and learning about The Tudors and it was also cool seeing the little play. It was well worth the time.

Happy 125th to the Ferry Building

 

San Francisco's Ferry Building turned 125 yesterday. This building survived both 1906 and 1989 earthquakes and unlike a lot of San Francisco spots, it is a tourist attraction but a place that people in the city and the Bay Area use on a regular basis as it is the San Francisco hub for ferries across the bay:

Also, it is a marketplace with some cool shops:

And it has its own bookstore-Book Passage:

And the outside is pretty cool even if they are doing a little work to it:

And I missed the main party as it was at lunchtime I still was able to hear some music there and lift a pint in its honor:
