San Jose St University is founding school in the CSU system and is the oldest public institution of higher learning on the West Coast. It is was established in 1857 as Minns Normal School:
The California State Normal School Bell forged in 1881
The day I was there it was cloudy and rainy but still a good walk:
Tower Hall-the oldest building on campus completed in 1910
The Police School Rock-It is in honor the first SJS offering the first policing degree in the nation
The front of the Student Union
Yoshihiro Uchida Hall
Dwight Bentel Hall
Cesar Chavez Monument
Below is the only pic I got before it started raining. It is a statue of two SJS alums who made a stand at the 1968 Olympics -Tommie Smith and John Carlos:
San Jose St University is a great campus located in downtown.
