I was down in Los Angeles and I got to see a bunch of things. One of the coolest was the California ScienCenter and the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center. It was something that blew me away:
The jets were cool but it was their artifacts from the space program that I loved:
Project Mercury training suit |
Orion Sounding Rocket |
Gemini 11 space capsule |
Ken Mattingly's Apollo 16 Spacesuit |
Project Mercury-Redstone 2 capsule |
Project Apollo-Soyuz Module |
But the big attraction was the Space Shuttle Endeavour:
For two bucks, the California ScienCenter is the best deal ever.
That's definitely worth a visit and only for half the price of a starbucks.
