Outside the Oakland Museum

I was at the Oakland Museum (which is a hidden gem) and decided to walk the grounds and they have so much cool art work outside. I didn't write down any names of the artists or the pieces names, I just wanted to enjoy them:

The Oakland Museum is a gem of a museum and one of my favorite places in the world. I feel lucky to have it near me (and be a member).

  1. I can't believe that I visited my son when he lived in Berkeley for several years and never knew about this museum. It looks like a place I would love to see. This gives me another excuse to visit the Bay Area again!

  9. Wow, what an awesome place you found! Gotta tell you what they look like to me though... hehehehe! The 1st one looks like remember when you took a notebook piece of paper & folded it as many times as you could & cut the corners & then open it? The second one reminds me of remember tinker toys? ~hehehe~ The next one looks like a six pack to go. LOL The next is a graduation hat, then Mona Lisa artwork sorta, then a totem pole, then a star juggling earth & the San Francisco bridge, then hmmmm a voting booth perhaps? Then hmmm FINALLY "ART" & THEN LAST, BUT NOT LEAST.. THE YELLOW DISC FOR OUR 45 rpm records... bwahahahaha OMG I THINK I'M OVER TIRED! Just joking didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings... Anyway, I calls em' as I sees em'!!! HAVE A GREAT NITE MY FRIEND! hahahaha

  18. Patrick,

Abstract art is hard for me to get into but I certainly appreciate the creativity. I think I agree with Marie on the first piece. It also reminds me of folded paper art where you snip here and there to create a design. :) That's a groovy large peace symbol. Wouldn't it be great if this great big world was filled with peace? It must be fun to live where you do to visit cool spots of interest. Thanks for sharing and linking up, my friend!
