Music Monday- Honoring All Veterans
Music Monday: For this Music Monday I am honoring my fellow vets as Saturday is Veteran's Day:
In your busy week, please say a prayer for all those who have served this country.
My late father was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corp. He passed away in a VA hospital emergency room. My spouse served in the Air Force so I had the experience of being a military dependent. My week will never be too busy to think of our veterans.
We had our brains in tune this week. How cool is that? First, let me say thank you for your service to our country, my friend, and second thank you for the nice music to honor veterans. Have a boogietastic week, Patrick!
I never cease to wonder why the Viet Nam War wasn't... oh I dunno as advertised.. I know bad choice of words, but why it wasn't more out t here like the World Wars... Our men died there... I don't care if it was one man... our boys were there and suffered and died. It just baffles me sometimes. My brother was there on a supply ship for our boys, and yes he did come home thank God, but I just don't understand and I know I'm not alone. Great choices my friend and thank y ou for joining us. Have a great week. God bless.
A great tribute and I plan on something similar since, in Canada, we have Remembrance Day on Saturday. To mark the 11th month, 11th day and 11th hour when WW1 ended. I wear my poppy in pride. My dad fought I a Canadian regimen and was part of the liberation of Holland. He was wounded in the Reischwald Forest. My mom was German but always praised the vets. She endured horrible times especially when the Russians marched in. I lost 2 Uncle's one was 13 months and the other 19. War is war and Innocents get killed but we must always remember why and thank goodness, we won that war.
Another good selection
