Happiness is the Warm Puppy Cafe

While at the Charles M. Schultz Museum, I went over to the Warm Puppy Cafe. The cafe is part of the Redwood Empire Ice Arena or Snoopy's Home Ice. Schultz built both in 1969. Everyday he would leave his studio and have lunch there:

The cafe serves mostly pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, soda,coffee, sandwiches and salad's. It is a nice place to relax:

One of the cool things is that Schultz would have the famous ice skaters who did shows there sign their name in the concrete outside the arena:

Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center

This might be a multi-blog post. I went to the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa. Schultz was the creator of the Peanuts cartoon strip, he was also know as Sparky.  Even though Schultz was born and raised in Minnesota, he relocated to Northern California in 1958 and Santa Rosa became his home base in 1969 and remained until his death in 2000.  The museum opened in 2002:

Walking Twin Peaks

I have basically lived in the San Francisco Bay Area all of my life but I had never been up to Twin Peaks even though it is behind my work (pure laziness).  Twin Peaks are two prominent hills that are about 925 feet high and are only about 660 feet apart. My son wanted to climb both of them so I went with him on a foggy, overcast day:

As I said, it was very foggy once you reached the top of either one:

I am happy that I was able to climb both peaks and it was something I have always wanted to do. Glad, I finally did it.

Eating at East End

I was with some friends and we decided to eat at a place called East End Pizza in Alameda. East End is a place that I normally avoid because it is cool and hip but I really enjoyed it (it didn't help that it wasn't busy when we got there also), the food is awesome:
