San Francisco Zoo Statues

While walking around the San Francisco Zoo, I saw many cool statues:

And then there were these statues that honor a bygone time:

The statues around the San Francisco Zoo are another reason to make a trip there.

Carmel Mission Basilica

I was able to re-visit, Carmel Mission Basilica or Mission Carmel. Mission Carmel was built in 1797 and is considered one of the most authentically restored Catholic missions:

And what was cool, was I finally was able to get inside the church (for about 7 minutes as they were between weddings):

Carmel Mission Basilica is one of the most beautiful missions in California:

Citizen M Hotel

In my stay in Los Angeles, I stayed at Citizen M Hotel. Citizen M Hotel is kind of hotel build for millennials and even an oldie like me loved his stay there. The lobby is so very cool and a great place to hang out:

Some say that rooms are small but I truly loved it, it was perfect for me. The bed was big and perfect.

Citizen M Hotel is so very cool and I can't wait to stay there again. Oh it is affordable.

The Work of Alice Neel

Alice Neel was one of 20th century's most visual and radical painters. She has been called a muse. Her work mostly featured friends, lovers, artists and strangers. The deYoung Museum has a exhibition of her work:

I didn't know much about her before I saw this exhibit but I really like her work. I am glad I went.

A Walk Around the California State Railroad Museum

I am away this week. Out getting new adventures but I re-visited the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento after a decade or so:

I always like visiting the California State Railroad Museum because if it wasn't for the railroad then (I believe) California wouldn't have grown as it did. Plus, I really like trains and the history of trains.
