Quirky: Welcome to the Music Store

I love quirky, strange places. The kiddos and I found a place called The Music Store in the West Portal section of San Francisco and trust me this place is quirky but super cool. They have two floors and everything you can want in a used music store:

From the second floor

Did I mention they have everything:

Got to have laserdiscs (I had to explain to the kiddos)

Got to love 8-tracks

Just when you thought you had seen everything:

Part of the Russian collection
And finally they make notebooks out of album covers:

I did get this one
On a scale of 1-10 for quirky and fun-The Music Shop in San Francisco rates about a 11.

  3. The one with the toilet is disturbing - I've seen commodes with powerful flushers. I always stand up before I flush lest I get swallowed up!
    ;)

  12. That does look like a funny/fun place. there used to be a store in Kansas City called Recycled Sounds. It kind of reminds me of that shop. I don't know if it's still there, or not.

    The toilet cracked me up!

  13. That store rocks! I'm glad there's still brick and mortar music shops - most of our local ones folded to online market.

  24. Wow, this is really a fun quirky place to browse! LPs are a thing of the past, but there are quite a few collectors. I have given myself over to the age of digital music. It's quick to buy and requires space only on my computer or in the cloud. I never thought I'd like going this route, but I found change to be a welcome thing in this regard. Happy #WW, Patrick!
