When I was in Davis, I literally stumbled on this store called Bizarro World. It is a true comics store. Yeah. I know that some people don't think that comic books have any kind of literary merit but I do. A whole of kids (like me) discovered a passion for reading through comic books and we moved on (or in my case-somewhat not) and started reading other stuff. Remember that Saturday, May 2nd is National Comic Book Day:
It was the store's 20th Anniverary |
Any place that has Star Ward figures is cool |
One of the best games ever |
Some nice titles |
Love R.Crumb |
Got to like it |
and my modest haul for the day:
Comics can be a gateway to gets kids to start reading. Go by a Comics Store on Saturday, May 2nd.
I appreciate that you allowed the pictures to tell the story. What a clever way to express your love for comics.
