Music Monday: A Salute to the Working People
Music Monday: It is Labor Day and we are saluting the working men and women in song:
Hope everyone has a relaxing day and a big thank you to all the working men and women who make this country great.
Great tribute to the working class! The only songs I knew here are the last two picks. I appreciated the intro to the new ones. :) Thanks for stopping by to dance with me yesterday. Have a tunetastic week!
Hey Patrick, I'm finally making it over here. Hope you had a good Labor Day weekend. You have an awesome set of songs honoring the working class folks.
Green Day's Working Class Hero has a powerful introduction. And I love Alabama's song and their video starting out with the auto industry: I come from a UAW family: my father, brother and aunt all worked in the plants: my dad and brother for GM's Harrison Radiator in Lockport NY (GM's radiator and AC headquarters) and my aunt at the Chevy plant in Buffalo. I'm a proud Union girl! This was a cool theme.
