Music Monday: Cinema Songs

Music Monday: Just doing some songs that were featured in the big screen:

Got to have something from James Bond:

From the Movie"Rush":

From the Movie "City of Angles":

From the movie "Days of Thunder":

From the movie "Prince of Egypt":

From the David Bowie movie "Absolute Beginners" (Horrible movie but great music):

I hope that everyone had a good and wonderful Monday and a stellar week..

  1. Oh my goodness, I love it that you put a cartoon movie up & the coolest song! David Bowie was definitely a master of the art! Eric Clapton will always be king in my book. The song that he wrote for his son I too use it for my own daughter that I lost in 1977! Her name was Angel. Uncanning that I named her that. Her full name was Angelina, but we called her Angel. I hear that song & a tear comes to my eye! It's the most beautiful song in the world, I think! Thanks for joining us my friend. You've rocked the house as always! BIG HUGS

  2. Patrick,

The only song I identify with instantly with a movie is "Live and Let Die". All others I had no clue were used in the flicks mentioned. Come to think about it, I haven't seen any of these movies. lol "Tears in Heaven" is such a beautiful song. It always leaves me in such somber mood every time I hear it. Thanks for hitting the dance floor with the 4M gang, my friend. Have a good week!!

  3. A lot of good picks from movies I don't think anyone else thought of!

  4. I loved this post because I didn't know so many of these songs that I did know came from movies (or were used in them). The David Bowie song was new to me, and it was quite enjoyable. I never heard of that movie either. Alana

  5. Hi Patrick,
I love Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die". Such a great song! And cool to be associated with a Bond flick.
I also love Clapton's unplugged "Tear in Heaven". Which Rush movie is this song from? There are a few movies titled Rush...

The Goo Goo Dolls song is perfect for the "City of Angels" movie. I think that might've been the first time I ever saw Nicolas Cage. What a great cast with him, Meg Ryan and a favorite of mine, Dennis Franz. That was a wonderful movie, hopeful and sad at the same time.

I don't remember ever seeing the last three movies your showcased. But like David Bowie. Bad movie, huh??

    Great post.
Hope you're having a good week...

  6. It's amazing the effect the soundtrack has on a movie. Can't think of an example just now, but sometimes it eclipses the movie!

  7. That's my favorite song by Eric Clapton and it was good to hear it again. Thank you for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story and we hope you will join us again next week.

  8. You are a rock star, Patrick! LOVE all your choices! :)

  9. Great selection of songs here. Not heard some of these for ages. Off to listen to some now :) Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays :) Hope you can join us tomorrow.

  10. Tears in Heaven gets me every single time!! Just thinking about it made me just get all emotional.

  11. Great Stuff, I love to read Superhero stories and watch Superhero movies. Recently I Watch deadpool 2 online trailer and waited for the movie.

Love hearing comments on stuff. Please tell me what you think of the places I have been to. If you like them or not. I love comments.
