Music Monday: I grew up in the 80's and I found music really starting in junior high in 1981. Here are some of the songs that made me to this day. The first three are the first songs I can remember hearing from my three favorite groups- The Three R's, R.E.M, Rush and Night Ranger:
And here are three more from the era:
Hope you enjoyed some of the songs that made me back in day.
You're several years younger than me. In 1981 I turned 20 but the music got everyone regardless of age into the groove to move. Your song set featured many songs that didn't make it on my radar in the day and was only acquainted or reacquainted with after I started blogging. The Internet sure opened a wealth of experiences all from the comfort of my chair. Thanks for joining the 4M dance floor, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!
I was 30 in 1981. Hard to imagine. Great playlist.ReplyDelete
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day, Patrick. ☺
Awesome set. Subdivisions is just about my favorite Rush song. I saw Night Ranger in concert several years ago (they came to a festival where I live) and I enjoyed their set so much. Psychodelic Furs! Depeche Mode and Everything Counts! I remember reading the backstory to Russians a while back - many consider that song a masterpiece."Russians love their children, too." Yes, I enjoyed your selections!ReplyDelete
The 80ties were terrific. We loved your playlist, all of it! Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞ReplyDelete
