Music Monday: So many, many years ago in a galaxy far, far, away, a college radio music director was told by the professor that they he wanted the college over-the-air station to play one hour of easy listening jazz a day.
Fast forward 32 years and that music director found a programming list while doing some cleaning at his house. So he had decided to share some the pain that the listeners had to deal with during that hour:
Thanks for listening and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
A rather eclectic set. I like it!
ReplyDeleteWell, hmmm. I did enjoy Bruce Cockburn's guitar playing and the sax of Body and Soul. The Theme from LA Law was a pleasant surprise; I had never heard this complete version. Tiny Dancer was a pleasant surprise; guess I associate Elton John with rock so much that I wouldn't have included it in this playlist. I'm glad you did, though! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff!
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteRuben Blades' "Hope" is an oldie but goodie. I enjoy his the character he plays on Fear the Walking Dead, Daniel Salazar. You have a nice selection of songs today. I haven't watched a single episode of a LA Law but I really like the theme music. Sir Elton is always a treat! "Tiny Dancer" is an excellent throwback sound from the 70s. Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, my friend. Have a boogietasti week!
Definitely an interesting playlist
