Near the California State Capitol Building is the California Vietnam Memorial which pays tribute to the 350,000 Californians who served during the Vietnam War and the 5,822 Californians who died in the Vietnam War. It was designed by a Vietnam veteran and is his personal reflection on his daily life. It was dedicated in 1988:
This Veterans Day please say a prayer for all of the Veterans that have served this country.
Bless every veteran. They have done so much for our freedom over the decades.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Patrick. ☺
We love all of our heroes and we always will. I lost two cousins in the Vietnam War and I was headed that way until the Doctors said bad back, bad knees, no thanks. That's a beautiful memorial. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteSo grateful!
