Music Monday: We are doing songs about school on this Monday:
First I have to include this classic:
And even though I am a teacher, I decided to get weird and wacky for this one kind of reflecting my school experience. I was horid in school and graduated high school by skin of my fingernails:
And I have to include this song by .38 Special who played at Alameda County Fair thi summer and I was there. When they went into "Teacher, Teacher", I whipped out my phone and recorded it:
Hope everyone has a great school year both students and staff.
What can I say but "gosh, no one writes songs about my workplace or my profession". Interesting set, including some classics. The saddest part is what was a satire song in 1983 (The Homecoming Queen song) is now - well, something way different.
ReplyDeleteWe crossed over on a couple of these. Oh well... Great set!
ReplyDeleteTis the season!
ReplyDeleteCool
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteI think I managed to pull a B GPA, but I always regarded myself as average. I just didn't feel very smart. Luckily I married up. DH was an "A" student most of his academic life. He says he didn't do well in elementary school but I have a hard time believing it. I keep hanging around here hoping his smarts rub off on me. :) lol
Motley Crue "Smokin' in the Boy's Room" is a classic back to school song. Great set. Thanks for joining the 4M party. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
