But I Had to Stop

I was driving to Reno over the weekend and going through the Sierras it had snowed and there was some snow flurries in the air. Being someone who is not used to snow. I had to find a safe place to stop and walk around and take some pics:

It was cool seeing all of this. I know I sound strange but I enjoyed the snow to the rain that we see here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  1. So so beautiful! Thank you for these lovely sights from I-80 / the Sierras. I don't think I've been that side in the snow. I thoroughly enjoyed these pictures. :)

  2. YOu got some spectacular shots but surely the timing is very unseasonal? That's alarming. Sort of. Amazing pics tho!! Thanks for sharing with #allseasons

  5. I loved your snow pictures from your trip. The stream, hill, trees everything is gorgeous. I must admit I'm glad I wasn't driving in the snow, but your pictures are beautiful! - Patty

  6. Beautiful! But I can also feel the cold in those images. About two years ago, I went over the Sierra via Yuba Pass (CA 49) where I encountered snow for the first time in many years, and of course I had to stop, too. I encountered snow again on the way back via Donner Pass (I-80), probably in the same spots you did on this trip.

Happy WW and have a great week!

  13. How lovely! We rarely get snow in Melbourne and have to drive up to the mountains to enjoy it, so I like your photos very much. Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
