Pedal Fest 2015

I attended a thing called PedalFest at Jack London Square in Oakland. It was a celebration of the bicycle. It was interesting:

Met Nelson Vails-1984 Olympian and the first African-American cyclist to medal

PedalFest was cool and I loved the creative spirit in the bicycles.

Music Monday: Sounds of the Last 20 Summers

I am going out on a weird limb here. I am going to freestyle it here on this Music Monday and play my favorite songs from the list that Billboard has determined were the among the top ten charted songs during their individual summers over the last 20 years. I have a pool of 200 great songs to come up with the seven I love the most

And this one always gets me from the Summer of 96 and it was the most popular summer song that year:

Hope you enjoyed this sampling of the popular songs of the last 20 years.

Strolling Through California's Great America

I am not an amusement park person. I don't really like roller coasters and things like that. Once a year for work I have to go to California's Great America in Santa Clara. California's Great America has been around almost 40 years as a theme park . This year I decided to take pics as I was walking around:

They do have a water park inside that is cool:

And Planet Snoopy:

And people just singing in the streets:

As far as theme parks go-California's Great America is good and those who are not into rides, there is enough to look at and do to enjoy the day.

Welcome to Copperfield's Books

Copperfield's Books is a small independent chain in the North Bay. They have about seven stores. It is another great place that has cool books and author events. I went to the one in Downtown San Rafael:

And they do a little cafe to enjoy:

And I did get one book there:

Copperfield's is a great book store with a friendly staff and you can spend a lot of time looking around:
