Welcome to Ziggy's

I had walked by Ziggy's Burgers in San Francisco many times and never went in. Well, the kiddos and I decided to try it one afternoon and it was really good and the prices were good also:

Inside Ziggy's
Loved the mural on the wall and this picture (below):

And the food was good:

Garlic Fries
The basic cheeseburger with curly fries
This called The Caribbean. Grilled chicken breast with veggies
Burgers on the grill
Part of their menu
I can't believe that I have walked by this place and never went in. Glad that the kiddos wanted to go because it was worth it.

Pistahan Festival 2013

Last week, I headed out to the Pistahan Festival in San Francisco which is a celebration of Filipino culture and cuisine. The Festival in San Francisco is the largest outside the Philippines. I always enjoy it and have a great time:

People enjoying the festival
The band Dakila rockin the house. They were good.
Singer Jordan Segundo. He was good and entertaining.
Some of the art on sale
Talented Illustrator Coco-Chanel Morton and example of her work (Below):

A martial arts demo
Now my favorite part, the food:

BBQ Pork and rice
Chicken Adobo and Rice
Lumpia
And my favorite:

Pancit Palabok
Can't wait for next August and the 2014 Pistahan Festival.

Another Visit to the Hayward Farmers Market

I decided to post another visit to the Hayward Farmers Market located in Downtown Hayward. I know I posted one last year but I figure what the heck, I go there a bunch and like it:

Got to love tomatoes
Fresh Flowers are nice
Fresh Dutch Chocolate Zucchini Bread
Strawberries
Fresh Chili's for your cooking pleasure
Need to some music and...
Some prayer  plus...
Some Aqua Fresca plus...
Some fresh popped kettle corn and you are good to go. (Hope you like the staged pic-lol)
The Hayward Farmers Market is a good way to spend a Saturday morning. I enjoy it.

A's vs. Rangers-8-3-13

Another great day at O.Coliseum as the A's took on the Rangers:

The Rangers Derek Holland
Texas' Joakim Soria
The Rangers Martin Perez
All-Star closer Joe Nathan signing some autographs
Usually, I bring my own food but I decided to try something called a pizza dog and it was pretty tasty:

Now on to the game:

The A's Yoenis Cespedes making contact
A's pitcher Jarrod Parker in his wind-up
Finally got the ball in flight: The A's Jarrod Parker pitching and the Rangers Leonys Martin squaring around to bunt
The Rangers Ian Kinsler hitting a big fly (Home run)
It was a great day and the A's won 4-2:

From the right field line
It might be considered a dump, but we do have pride in it.

A small look at St.Mary's College

With my daughter, I started going college tours with her. We have visited a couple and like a tourist I have slipped away to take pics. This a small look at our visit to St.Mary's College (I have already done the basketball arena in a previous post):

The chapel
Galileo Hall
Madigan Gym. It is named for the great football coach Slip Madigan who was the football coach during St.Mary's time as a national college power. In fact, people would say that SMC stood for Slip Madigan College. I was thrilled to see a plaque bearing his name on it. (below)

The Boschetto Family Grove
The inside of Oliver Hall-The St.Mary's Dining Hall. From what we had, the food is great in there
A statue of  St.John Baptist De La Salle-Founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools
The Cassin Student Union and the fountain in front
Syufy Hall for the Preforming Arts
St.Mary's College is a beautiful place for anybody to go school.
