My daughter were in the Haight in San Francisco and came upon a place called Free Gold Watch. It is a print shop for T-shirts and stuff but more importantly it is a pinball arcade. I love pinball and I had a blast:

Candlestick Park

Candlestick Park is history. The final event of the history of the place is scheduled for next Thursday as Paul McCartney will be playing. Candlestick is one of those places that had a bad rep from its beginnings in 1960 until the now. Everything that could go wrong with a place did. The weather, winds and cold drove people away. But the place had a lot of history there:

The Stones played there, The Beatles last concert was there and Pope John Paul II said mass at The Stick

The Stick was home to the worst mascot in history-The Crazy Crab

Candlestick hosted two World Series-The 1962 between the Yankees and Giants and the 1989 Series between the A's and the Giants which was interrupted by the famous Loma Prieta Earthquake before Game 3:

But to the people in the Bay Area it was the home of the 49ers during its glory days:

But as Candlestick is going, we welcome Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, the new home the Niners and Super Bowl 50 (the pics are just from the road):

A Peek At Downtown Hayward

I have lived in Hayward, Ca for most of my life. I was "Made In Hayward"  as I went from K through my B.A. in the city. Hayward says it is the "Heart of the Bay" (some old-timers call it the liver) as it is in the middle if you were driving from San Jose to San Francisco. It was a working-class town when I was growing up. It thinks that it more upscale now as it is attracting more and more "techies" but it still has the gritty feel to it:

Hayward's Downtown is always changing the as old business's leave and new ones come in:

Buffalo Bill's is a brewery (above) and a restaurant. They are famous for beer brewed below:
