Welcome to the Hoover Dam

When I was in Vegas, I took a trip to one of coolest places I have ever been-The Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam harnesses the Colorado River and provides power to basically the major cities in the Southwestern United States and Southern California. No Hoover Dam and places like Las Vegas do not exist. It was just so breath-taking that I better shut-up and let the pics tell the story:

The Hoover Dam is one of our national treasures and I am so happy that I got to see it. I guess I will have to do a part deux with all the little details, artwork and such.

  6. Astounding photos, when I was younger they still had tours down inside the damn where all the big turbines are, they are huge and amazing. The bolts on them are so big, it would take 2 of my hands to hold one. Its great you had the time to tour, sad the waters are so low. We need a ton of rain from up in Denver and the Rocky Mountains.

Thanks for sharing on The Oh My Heartsie Girl WW this week.

    Enjoy your holidays!
