Hung Yi at Civic Center

Talk about how life throws you a curve. Last week I was at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic and remembering the comments from the blog I posted last year of the event, people wanted to see more of the Hung Yi sculptures that were on the course. So, I walked around and took pics of those. Anyway, I go to the Civic Center in San Francisco and there is another exhibition of his work with different sculptures, so you get this one now and the golf course one at a later date.

Hung Yi is a Taiwanese sculptor and painter. These pieces are large-scale steel sculptures that are finished in enamel and imbued with colorful Taiwanese cultural elements:

Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

  21. Greetings and Salutations from Illinois! We had cows all over Chicago once. It was so fun to locate where they were and later they were auctioned off to the highest bidder. I absolutely adore these sculptures. They are colorful with fun designs and faces. You captured them well.
