I heard about this from another blog and decided to check it out since it is a short BART ride away:
And because I am a simple guy:
Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles is amazing place. Besides being an amazing museum, it is also a working fabric store. It is one of the hidden gems in the Bay Area..
I never heard of this when I lived in the Bay area. My daughter the fashion student would love it.

Patrick, what a cool place to visit! I love the vintage clothing, especially long flowing dresses! They are beautiful to look at and daydream about but I honestly I wouldn't like to wear any of them. lol
ReplyDeletelooks great to visit and explore
ReplyDeletefabrics are cool
My mother-in-law would love this place. She used to make custom drapes, and still loves to sew and visit fabric stores. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great sites and museums to see in your area, Patrick. I love San Francisco too, if that's where you live. I don't know if I told you this or not, but my youngest son recently moved to Sherman Oaks in LA. He wants to find a job with an app start up, but most of them are north of LA and in SF, so he may end up migrating north at some point. Thanks for giving us a peek at this incredible museum! Have a great day, my friend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great Field trip location, plenty to see and learn.
