Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology

I got the chance to visit the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology on the campus of the University of California the other day and it was filled with a lot of great artifacts that tells us who we are:

19th century Kwakiutl House Post
Silk Dragon Robe - Qing Dynasty-China
Pot -Southern Peru- 100BC-800 AD
Wine Cup-Greece 525 BC-50 BC
Obsidian Arrowheads-early 20th century. These arrowheads were made by "Ishi"-He was the last known member of the Yahi Tribe in California

Marble panels from the Guandi Temple in China carved during the reign of the Emperor Qianiang (1735-1796)
Vessel-Peru 100 BC-800 AD
And the star of the Hearst Museum:

Sarcophagus lid of Psamtik I. The first of the three kings of the 26th Dynasty of Egypt-600 BC
The Phoebe Hearst Museum is a must see if you are ever on the Cal campus. I was glad to finally get a chance to enjoy it.
