Happy New Year and welcome to 2019. Just some random pics to usher in this year. Just want to say a huge Thank You to everybody who stopped by this blog in 2018 for a peek a my weird little world and the dribble I write. Hopefully 2019 will bring new adventures and new experiences in my life:

A collection of Robert Kennedy 1968 campaign pins |

Someone at work gave me a bunch of bobbleheads |
One of the cool things is always discovering stuff. About two years ago, I did a blog on San Francisco City Hall and all the great stuff there. One section of City Hall was closed that day and I had to go over to City Hall for something the other day and that section was opened and I discovered busts of modern-day Mayors of the City:
|
Former Mayor and current U.S. Senator Diane Feinstien |
|
Former Mayor Willie Brown |
|
Former Mayor and California Governor (starting Jan, 7th) Gavin Newsom |
|
Former Mayor Goorge Moscone |
And I always like street music:
And cool and interesting art:
|
An orginial by Dr. Seuss |
But I just like seeing interesting things in my little world:
|
A Giant Thorny Phasmid |
Most of all I love being able to stop and enjoy the views of life (These are from Robinson Pass):
Happy Blessed New Year to all.
I thought for a moment this was a page I forgot I'd posted, lol. Dianne Feinstein, baseball bobble heads, little violinists, a giant sucker, Dr. Seuss and Snoopy. Get out of my head! And combining two of my favorite things, photography and dogs!
ReplyDeleteOkay, not an A's fan although I have nothing against them, but I did add a Hank Aaron nesting doll to my nativity scene this year.
Happy New Year!

Have a fabulous WW. 😎
Happy 2019!
ReplyDeleteLove the sculptures and last views. Interesting collection!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a varied collection of mayors, street art, and more. San Francisco must be quite a place to have such mayors. As a former New York City resident, I have to say that I recognize a lot of the names. George Moscone to me especially will always be the people's mayor, assassinated by a madman.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY 2019 WEDNESDAY! hehehe OMG I'M POOPED! I went out with my daughter & grandsons & granddaughter today for lunch & then we went to Goodwill... holy moly I'm pooped! Anyway... maybe more on that another time, but you had a fun time here didn't ya... That's really cool to have sculptures of mayors throughout the years. Thanks for sharing. HAPPY NEW YEAR my friend! BIG HUGS....
ReplyDeleteIt is good to see the little things and to 'stop and smell the roses'!
ReplyDeleteI love it!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, we are too much alike. I always love everything you post and everything is so cool and so darn interesting. I swear one of these days.... Now, I really liked everything you posted, but you could've left the bug out as far as I'm concerned. hahahaha~ Sorry I really DON'T care for bugs. The City Hall visit was totally fascinating & being a retired paralegal from Chicago you know I was totally interested in that. AWESOME! Street musicians another favorite. Oh heck they were all so cool!!! Thanks for sharing and once again HAPPY 2019 to you & yours! hugs!
ReplyDeleteNice series - glad you shared them at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2018/12/king-of-mountain-kitty-style.html.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I love those dogs. There's a shop in Sydney that sells them. I think they also have a few around the streets. Different ones though ... I've not seen them with the camera before.
ReplyDeleteLove that Dr Seuss original too.
