One of my big stress reliefs lately is to go a body of water and sit and watch the water and the waves. I love watching the power of the ocean and the stillness of it at the same time:
Got some surfers out there |
It may be simple but it is something that relaxes me.
Something hypnotic about those waves.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots !

I'm the same way about water. It calms me and relaxes me. You're lucky if you live close to the ocean!
ReplyDeleteSo peaceful!
ReplyDeleteUnless our weather is stormy our ocean is quite calm here between Vancouver Island and the mainland. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI live by the ocean Patrick and never get tired of watching the waves no matter what the weather is like. I especially like it when it is stormy. Thanks for sharing your photos with us at #MLSTL and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo's Patrick. I love the ocean and love the beach! It's a beautiful place to go any time but especially when feeling stressed. It's so peaceful and calming. Thanks for linking up with #ZTT

ReplyDeleteThere's something mystical about the seashore that takes away your worries, at least for a while. Lovely images.
ReplyDelete'My Corner of the World' wouldn't be the same without you this week!
My Corner of the World
Nice shots I always think watching waves is quite peaceful even if they are big waves :-)
ReplyDeleteHave an oceantastic week ;-)
Lovely thoughts and I agree, it is a relaxing sight. #mlstl
ReplyDeleteI think the ocean reminds us of how small we are and also shows the calm and the storm and that both are beautiful. Lovely pics Patrick.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM :)
I wish I was wave-watching right now!

Patrick, beautiful photos! I feel just the same about the ocean--the sight, the smell, the sound of it is just magical. We once stayed in a hotel on the ocean where at high tide the water came right up to the building. Being on our balcony was like being on a cruise ship. Unforgettable!
ReplyDeleteI used to go to Pacifica for years to do the very same thing. Sit out on the rocks in front of Nick's and just enjoy the surf. Most relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Patrick. ♪♫♪♫
I've also always found the beach a place to lose my stress and relax.
ReplyDeleteSo grey but so impressive!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing quite a bit of wave-watching myself the past few weeks. I too find it soothing... quite meditative! Visiting from #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteHad an opportunity to be by the beach and ocean this past week in NC and it was so soothing. LOVED it. Will pin this beautiful post to my nature board and visiting you from MLSTL party.
ReplyDeleteI used to do the same thing while living in Greece. Just sit by the beach and watch the waves come and go. Sometimes I'd fall asleep to the sound of the waves, it was so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteWhere was this? Apropos that your post is about the ocean+beach this week, too :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW and hope you have a great week.
In between Downtown Half Moon Bay and the Half Moon Bay Brewery.
DeleteThe sound of the surf and the hypnotic motion of the waves is one of my favorite things about visiting the shoreline. It is very calming.
ReplyDeleteI also find watching the waves relaxing. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteI love going to the ocean and spending some quality time there. The ambience is so relaxing..
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photography! #ABitOfEverything
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love the ocean. We just got back from a week in Mazatlan, and I'm really missing starting and ending each day watching and listening to the waves. #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteMy best friend lives right on the water. The ocean waves are so appealing and soothing. It really puts whatever troubles you may have in perspective. Lovely photos, especially the last two.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the sound of the waves crashing so peaceful and calming X #ablogginggoodtime
ReplyDeleteNice! I live very close to the Pacific and don't go visit enough.
