Watching the Waves

One of my big stress reliefs lately is to go a body of water and sit and watch the water and the waves. I love watching the power of the ocean and the stillness of it at the same time:

Got some surfers out there

It may be simple but it is something that relaxes me.

  11. I think the ocean reminds us of how small we are and also shows the calm and the storm and that both are beautiful. Lovely pics Patrick.

  13. Patrick, beautiful photos! I feel just the same about the ocean--the sight, the smell, the sound of it is just magical. We once stayed in a hotel on the ocean where at high tide the water came right up to the building. Being on our balcony was like being on a cruise ship. Unforgettable!

  14. I used to go to Pacifica for years to do the very same thing. Sit out on the rocks in front of Nick's and just enjoy the surf. Most relaxing.

  18. I used to do the same thing while living in Greece. Just sit by the beach and watch the waves come and go. Sometimes I'd fall asleep to the sound of the waves, it was so relaxing.
