The Gardens at Palmdale


I went for a walk the other day in a newly created open space in Fremont, Ca called The Gardens at Palmdale. The Gardens have been there for ever but  the  land was part of Sisters of Holy Family Convent. The Sisters had the land for 70 years and in 2019, the some of the Sisters land were turned into affordable housing and The Gardens of Palmdale were created as open space as a five-acre meditation garden:
















What is cool is that they still have the so-called White House and the Pink House on the property:



The Gardens at Palmdale is a really nice play to take a walk and think about things and clear your mind.

  4. Oh how I love the saints that you shared! I saw Jesus and Saint Jude :) the plants and flowers look so energizing to my eyes and to my soul, thank you so much! It's my first time on your blog and I'm glad to know you are from Hayward. Lived there for three months 5 years ago :)

  5. I loved the serenity Patrick and the Catholic statues seem to enhance that feeling of peacefulness don't they? Lovely that the public gets to share in the space now.
