I was walking on the Embarcadero from the Ferry Building to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco instead of taking the bus and I saw this little opening to a park. I had seen it before from the bus or from a car but this time I went in and had an amazing experience:
And I must give some props to the corporate sponsor of the park and show the view:
Levi's Plaza Park is a great oasis in the middle of a busy city.
That's a great find you made there. I am always excited when I come across something unexpected. I suspect it made your day.

I love the little hidden pockets of nature in cities - you found a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI love Levi's Plaza park! I would walk down the Embarcadero and sit there for a while - the lawns, the stones, and the water. Then it would be time to ascend one of the staircases up Telegraph Hill.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week.
Wow! That is a pretty little urban park. So refreshing amongst the skyscrapers.
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested in knowing more about Levi - how the park got its name!

Such parks in the middle of an urban city are indeed an oasis. A walk and some quiet time spent in it can be very therapeutic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely park and it's always such a weird dichotomy to see greenery and beauty in the midst of a city. I realise I never appreciate those parks enough.
