Music Monday: North of the border

For this Music Monday, we are going North of the Border and looking at some artists from Canada:

And I have to have a little Rush:

And 35 years ago, a bunch of Canadian musicians got together and called themselves Northern Lights and became the Canada's answer to England's Band Aid and America's USA for Africa:

  1. Nice to see some Canadian talent highlighted here! I've always been a fan of The Cowboy Junkies. Ironically, since I live in Canada, the video after theirs is not available here. Who is it?

  2. Nicely done! I knew about Rush and Jeff Healey, but the others were new to me.

  4. So the video I couldn't watch was Jeff Healey? Too bad, I love him. He used to own a bar in Toronto. Gone much too soon! ♥

  5. Love it! Sorry to be slow to get around to this post. I had two doctor appointments on Monday and my week just sort of snowballed from there. Canada was an excellent choice!

  6. I love Rush! Of the songs I didn't know (surprised me a little that with all the Canadian artists and bands we enjoy in the States, that I didn't know any of the songs other than Limelight)I liked Arcade Fire the best. Canada equals great rock.
