The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is a religious and civic landmark in Sacramento. It is located near the state capitol and was completed in 1889 and has gone through some renovations over the years with the last completed in 2005. It has been been the site of several funeral masses for former Governors of California:
Outside of the church is a statue of Bishop Alfonso Gallegos who was the Latino Bishop of Sacramento:
The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen.
