Nice playlist.
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteIn the 90s I lost touch with music being a mom of small of children. It wasn't until the 90s I began taking note of what was new but still not quite in the loop. Most of your song picks I was introduced to after I began blogging. I listened to your set while in the kitchen but I knew the Beatles right off and couldn't figure out why you were including a 70s song in your mix until I read the trivia you included. The Spice Girls are a lot of fun. I miss Mel B being on AGT but Sophia is a great replacement choice on the show. Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
Another great playlist, Patrick. I came of age in 1969 and have enjoyed such wonderful music through the years.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Those songs all bring back memories!
ReplyDeleteThe 90's, in some ways, is my least favorite decade, but it has its gems, and you picked a couple of them - Shiny, Happy People and Tubthumping. The latter was a song I picked up from my son, who was in elementary school when this song came out. It was played at every school event, it seems, and I sometimes wondered if anyone there had ever listened to the lyrics carefully, past what sounds like inspirational messages. (Maybe due to the connection with my son growing up, I als have a liking for "Wannabee".)
