Keeping it Local

Had to run a bunch of errands last Saturday and what was cool was that I was able to visit a bunch of local small businesses in my area. I started by going to Books on B above and ordering a book.

Then I went next door to Ska Dog Records to look at some records. Didn't buy anything though:

Since I was in Downtown Hayward, I went to the Farmers Market and bought some grapes and listened to some music:

Then I went to the Castro Valley Natural Grocery for some local BBQ sauce (the best I ever had) and some homemade turkey chili and they some local craftspeople selling there wares outside:

Finally I went to Blvd Burger in Castro Valley to get a burger to take home:

Not a bad day in helping local businessess

  1. You live in a cool town. A record store dedicated to ska? How cool is that?? Love the honey truck, too.
