Music Monday: Just Some Actors Singing
Just some actors and actresses who have musical hits. Oh, they must have been actors or actresses first and not the other way around:
Not saying these are great but...I hope you enjoyed them.
Well, it was different, and why not? I actually knew the Eddie Murphy song (except I never knew it was him!)and I knew he had a singing career of sorts back in the 1980's. The other ones? Don Johnson was good. I don't know about the others and it was interesting that a couple of them were sung with established musicians.
Ah yes, when do many thought they could sing and actually their songs were popular back on the day like Eddie and Bruce. Man, some are just not that great.
I find it very fascinating when actors sing and do complete justice to the music. So befitting examples from films are from the recent film Elvis. Austin Butler's singing took the cake as did is acting skills.
Then there was Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star is Born, belting charbusters.
Another one is Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore in Music and Lyrics.
This selection is pretty dapper too, dear Patrick. Happy week!
