Outside the de Young Museum

A couple of weeks ago, I shared the "Summer of Love" at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. One of the cool things was being able to walk around outside the de Young as it like a cool outdoor museum:

And if you are lucky, you might see a friend just hanging out:

The de Young is a world class museum and outside of it is also world-class.

  1. Love this Patrick you have such a good eye and great ideas of what to have on your blog! I have a question!! Why do you say 'dribble of mine'? in your bio? I think you lead a really full life full of fun and interesting experiences that you want to share with the world and that is AWESOME! I think you're great mate I really do. I would love to see you change it to a more positive statement like I hope you love reading about my experiences or something like that. You have a gift and you're sharing it with the world and I love that. Thank you for sharing your joy and linking up as always #sharethejoy

  6. Looks like a delightful place to spend a day. Some of the trees look like they could be living sculptures. I enjoy walking through places where nature and art blend together. Thank you for sharing these photos.

  8. If that's an outside museum how do they protect those statutes from getting weather worn? What an awesome place! I'd love to know the name of that first tree? I want to start planting some trees in my backyard & here's the reason. On the corner by my house there were these beautiful trees... so so so many & bushes too and these new people tore them ALL down!! Do you know I actually cried? So sad... so sad indeed! Why about ten years ago they tore down this house across the street and they tore down these two evergreen trees that were huge. They had to be about 25 yrs. old if not older. I cried then too! I hate it when I see an older tree torn or chopped down so I decided I'm going to plants some trees on our property & I dare someone to complain. Ooops sorry I'm ranting again!!! Thank you so much for the great photos!!! hugs

  9. Patrick,

A mix of modern and traditional art - very cool! Great capture on the reflection in the sphere or is there actually something painted on it? It's a little hard to tell for sure. :) This is a neat museum and it's outdoors. Thanks for visiting and linking up, my friend!
