A Walk Around Cal-State Los Angeles

California State University Los Angeles is not as known as UCLA or USC. It is located five miles from Downtown Los Angeles in the University Hills District. It was founded in 1947 as Los Angeles State College and in 1972 it was renamed California State University, Los Angeles. It is one of the 23 campuses that make up the California State University system:

La Kertz Hall
Science Complex
One of the older buildings on campus-Biological Science Building
The Library

They don't have dorms but mini-apartments like the one above
The Harriet and Charles Luckman Fine Arts Complex

The Student Union
One of the things that I learned was that Eagles Nest Arena was used as the venue for Judo for the 1984 Olympics:

One thing that CSU-Los Angeles has going for it is that it faces the San Gabriel Mountains and on non smoggy days, the view is great:

As I said California State University, Los Angeles may not be well-known but it is a beautiful school located in a great location.

  9. Rent or fees for accommodation in halls of residence is often due at the start of each term, which coincides with student loan instalments.
