Balboa Park is one of the nation's great parks. It was founded as a San Diego city park in 1868 and has evolved into a cultural urban park with beautiful grounds, great museums and it hosts the the world famous San Diego Zoo.
My son and I got there about 5:00pm in the afternoon as everything was basically closing down. We didn't get the chance to go into the wonderful museums or go to the San Diego Zoo. All we did was walk around the wonderful grounds of the park:
Beautiful place.

You always share great photos of the places you visit. I like the stair one as sometimes those different kind catch the eye. :)

ReplyDeleteHave a funtastic week :-)
I love those stairs. What a great historical park.
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks like you could spend several days there seeing everything.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your weekly adventures, Patrick. Thanks for sharing at #MLSTL this week. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI loved that first pool - so clear and refreshing - and some really interesting buildings - quite an unusual place.

Oh it is so nice to see pics of Balboa Park (I was born and raised in San Diego and now visit 3x per year)! My parents took us here many weekends to the museums, dog shows, all the Christmas decorations (political controversy aside). Your pics are gorgeous and you captured the spirit of the park perfectly! I transplanted a huge goldfish into that koy pond 45 years ago...I wonder if it's still there? LOL! Visiting from #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. I will have to mark this place down for the next time I visit Cali.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
