Sacramento River Walk

Just some pics, I took while walking around the Sacramento River Walk:

The Tower Bridge (above and below) built in 1935.

Bell from the gunboat USS Sacramento (PG-19)

You can stay on the river at the Delta King Hotel

I Street Bridge built in 1911
After walking along the Sacramento River, a little food was in order:

Which was good and had outdoor diningon the river:

And the food was good:

Crab Cakes
Shrimp
Chicken Noodle and Sausage soup in a bread bowl
The walk along the Sacramento River Walk was nice and fun and relaxing with not many people around.

  7. It looks like a very pleasant outing Patrick - nothing like a walk near water to refresh your soul - and to finish off sitting at that lovely table eating delicious food sounds pretty perfect to me. #MLSTL

  8. The paddle wheel hotel is neat to see. And, that looks like a lovely spot for lunch! The food looks wonderful too! With the pandemic, outside is the only way to eat safely at a restaurant. I’m still not back at my volunteer job at the Blind Institute only because they can’t air out the sound room between readers. Thanks for linking on Amanda’s Books and More. Take care!

  11. I've been to Sacramento many times but never done a full "river walk." All the bridges and the Ziggurat building on the West Sacramento side are particularly interesting to me.

Hope you have a great (and safe) week!

  18. I love visiting Sacramento. It used to be my state capitol when we lived in California. I went there once or twice a year for educational meetings and workshops when I was an educational administrator in Southern California. I would walk from my hotel near the Capitol down to Old Town to eat and shop along the river. One time we went to a conference reception in the Capitol Rotunda. Thanks for the memories. -

  23. My visits to California consist of a week in San Diego and a stop in the San Francisco airport to change planes. Loved those two "different" bridges and the paddleboat. Wish we had waterfront dining where I live.
