Following the Truckee River

When I went to Reno last month, I took Amtrak. Just some simple shots as I was going through the Sierra's and following the Truckee River:

And what is cool is that you end up getting a little glimpse of Donner Lake:

Who knows, I might have more pics somewhere from the train to share at a later date.

  1. Beautiful scenery and landscape with the mountsins behind. Oh to be young and try to walk across those rocks in the river. Have a good one.

  3. What pretty scenery you captured. Here in Nebraska it’s so flat - grassland. Not quite as visually interesting, but you can see for miles.

  17. I had an Amtrak adventure once. A long time ago ... from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas. The best part was going through the Rockies and viewing them from the ceiling to floor glass viewing car. I'll never forget it.
    Great pics!
    How was Reno?
