Music Monday: Just some songs about siblings:

This last one is a tribute to John Panozzo who was Styx's drummer in their glory years, John's fraternal twin Chuck was Styx's bass player:

  1. Great pickins here my friend. How was your weekend? We didn't do much cuz I got my shot for pain on Friday... sure kinda screwed up my weekend, but things are getting better. Thank the Lord. Church this morning. We have a wake to go too! Never heard of your first tune.. Sister needs her brother. Kinda choked me up cuz I've lost my brother he was only 44. Silly man what did he have to go & do that for. So now it's just me. Kodaline brother... very sweet & the next tune I've never heard that one before by 10,000 Maniacs. The next tune by Britany Spears nope never heard that one either & your last one by Styx - nope can't say I ever heard that one either. Tune is different to say the least. Well, time to move on & please stay healthy & safe! hugs Have a great week! Don't forget your mask and please watch your back & the neighborhoods you go in. Stay safe!

  2. ...10,000 Maniacs is the only one that I know. I saw them in concert about 30 years away, Natalie danced all over the stage.

  3. Hey Patrick,

I can't believe everyone of your song picks are new-to-me. I thought for sure "Dear John" I would know but it didn't ring a bell. The "Brother" mewsic video is such a tear jerker. My little brother and I are almost 5-years apart in age but we were best buds when we were little. I married young. He was 13 when I left home. Although we really didn't connect on the same level after that our love never changed and when he died in 2006 it was really hard. The things you do in life can burn you. That's part of the reason for his short years in this world. He was only 40 yrs + 2mos old when he passed. I'm thankful I have my baby sister who's almost 9-years younger. I still see her as that little blonde girl who wanted me to read her bedtime stories. :) Oh the memories! Thanks for sharing beautiful tunes celebrating brothers and sisters. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

  5. All of these new to me and I enjoyed "Dear John" the best. I'm an only child but I can relate both from losing my Mom young and also a good childhood friend (to leukemia) young, also.
