Walking Around Stern Grove

Stern Grove is one of those great places in San Francisco. Stern Grove was donated to city in 1931 and has presented weekly concerts during the summer months for free for the last 80 years as part of the Stern Grove Festival. It gets totally packed, so I kind of stay away from the concerts but it is still a beautiful place to stroll:

And here is the amphitheater and the concert seating:

Stern Grove is one of the those places in San Francisco that is amazing.

  4. I like the picture of the stump you found covered with ivy. Looks like a nice place to relax and enjoy a concert.

  5. Lovely! That’s wonderful that they offer free concerts, although it’s not safe to be close to people, so I’m glad you’re being wise. I miss the forest. Where we live it’s semi-arid. Eucalyptus and palms do well here. There are forests in the Knysna area along the beautiful Garden Route. In the 25 years that I have lived in South Africa, I have only been to Knysna twice. Thanks for linking on Amanda’s Books and More!

  7. We have a nature preserve, but no music. That would be awesome. Your photos look like our weather with the trees shedded, and just the trees and downed logs. Thanks for visiting me.
