The Santa Monica Pier is a tourist destination but it is a fun place to visit in Southern California: It has shops, a small amusement park, a 100-year-old carousel and the Pacific Ocean, what more do you need:
Had lunch while I was there:
The Santa Monica Pier is a cool place to hang out:
That's a very nice pier, looks like alot of fun, I'd be strolling around checking each and everything out
ReplyDeleteI went there one afternoon and it quickly became my favorite place in the world. I took a walk from there on the sidewalk on the beach to Venice, when I figured I'd better turn around and walk back before I was too tired to. Going there and seeing the "end of the trail" sign meant that I had been at both ends of Route 66, the other end being on Michigan Avenue in Chicago....
ReplyDeleteI love the Pier!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a cool place to visit. I love that sign at the end! That burger looked good too!
ReplyDeleteCarousels never go out of style, I think. No matter the age, love to ride on one. As I've aged, I take the bench now though. :)
ReplyDeleteI've not been there in a very long time. How fun and I ate the burger and fries.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

ReplyDeleteI think you had a great time in this harbor!
Thank you for your entrance in the WW game!
Happy WW!
In all my times to LA I have yet to visit the Santa Monica pier. Looks like fun. My one wish that they made the US 66 sign an actual California-style US shield (I'm such a highway nerd 😹)
ReplyDeleteI would love it there especially the funfair oh and the burger and fries what a portion heheh! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a bigwheeltastic week 👍
It looks like you had a wonderful time! I'm a bit jealous...

I didn't know it was the end of Rte. 66. Very cool. I keep hearing about the pier, so it was nice to finally see it.
