Music Monday: Inspirational Songs from Playing for Change
Playing for Change is one of my favorite organizations. I first heard of them about seven years ago while watching PBS. They are trying to connect the world through music. It is a movement created to inspire us connect us and bring peace to the world through music. They take inspirational songs and cover them with different musicians from around the world. One song that I will not show is "Stand By Me" as I featured their version last week. Sit back and enjoy:

Patrick...(I was wondering do you go by Pat?) thanks for the lovely introduction to Playing for Change. I had never heard of this before, I don't believe. This is really an interesting concept. I love how a variety of musicians & singers are joined through each production creating fantastic secondhand songs. I might have to feature this organization on one of my future Saturday Songsuasion posts even though I normal spotlight a single artist/band because I really enjoyed what they put together with this sample you shared this morning.
