I got so lucky and was able to go to the 2019 College Football National Championship Game held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. I was given two tickets to game as I attended a teacher's event that was sponsored by Extra Yard for Teachers at the College Playoff Fan Central the day before. It was a great time as the Super Bowl of College Fotball featured Clemson vs. Alabama for the Championship:
Clemson Tigers |
Alabama Crimson Tide |
The Alabama Marching Band |
Sorry, I had to take this pic from the jumbotron, I wanted to get the Clemson band spelling out the Paw |
Alabama entering the field |
And there was a game played:
Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa's throws and the result is a pick-six by Clemson's A.J. Terrell below: |
Clemson's Trevor Lawrence making a throw |
It downer of a game for Alabama as Clemson celebrated all night long |
Clemson ended up boatracing Alabama 44-16 and got to celebrate:
I had such a wonderful time as the evening was such a great and memorable time for me:
These are really exciting images. You reminded me the memories of my college days..
ReplyDeleteI am more of a college basketball fan...rock chalk jayhawk...but pro football is also my game and the Chiefs are going to the AfC championship game next week, so I share your enthusiasm. Thank you for joining our celebrate your story link party.

Wow! What an amazing experience! That was definitely a much anticipated game for both teams and ended up being a great game (especially for the Clemson fans.) Great pictures, thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteAs a Clemson alum and huge fan, I am so jealous! We enjoyed watching the game from home, but attending it in person would have been AH-MAZ-ING!
ReplyDelete(And just an FYI, the Clemson quarterback's name is Trevor Lawrence, not Taylor.)
Thank You so much for catching that. Made the correction.
DeleteGreat post! So jealous that you watched in PERSON!!!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBrillint shots it felt like I was there too heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a footballtastic week :-)
Great post, Patrick! And I am so glad that you recapped the game as we totally skipped the last Sunday Morning Quarterback post where my husband was going to recap the National Championship game. Also, so cool that you got tickets to the game. What a great experience!

I almost feel like I was there from your photos and words. It was fun! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics there my friend. Glad you got to go. I think I'm going to have to put something like this on my bucket list. Maybe to see a Bears game if only for the half time. hmmmm Wonder who will be performing... ~snicker-snicker~ Have a great day my friend! Some great shots as usual! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAmericans really take their Football seriously, don't they Patrick so good for you in scoring some tickets to the College National Championship game. Thanks for sharing the highlights wit us at #MLSTL and have a great week.
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteI know the winning team loves to see a score difference like that but as fan I'd rather see things more evenly matched with lots of WOW going on. You did a fabulous job with the action shots which isn't easy. It looks like you had a furtastic time. How lucky to be given two tickets to the College National Football Championship! Thanks for sharing and please come join my WW party! :)
You always have sommething different to share Patrick - I enjoyed this little glimpse into American football - it's all so much more elaborate than Aussie Rules footy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM :)
Great action shots - it's not easy to do
ReplyDeleteLooks, to my untrained eye, bit like Super Bowl. A great post, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Nice job of capturing the action.

Oh wow, what a game to see, lucky you and great photos and close ups. I especially love the flag and the fire coming out of the locker room. We (UW Badgers) had such a miserable season and my cousin was off the team this year so I can't say I paid much attention. I won't even talk about the Packers. Oy.
ReplyDeleteHaven't been to a college football game in years. How fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the mascots. I'm not much for football but I do love a marching band. I don't know if it's still on Thanksgiving Day on PBS, but I loved to watch the drum and bugle competition when I lived in the US. Thanks for linking up to My Corner of the World!
ReplyDeleteSo it's already started! The games are always be fun to see! And the mascot is cool as well
ReplyDeleteYou really captured the atmosphere with you photos. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteMy pictures and Linky!
I'm not particularly a fan of either team, but I enjoyed your great shots of the game. (Not much into sports, to begin with...)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and it looks like you had a great time!

It looks it was quite a show.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at The Really Crafty Link Party, and have a wonderful weekend!
I've always wanted to go to an American Football game, the cheerleaders and mascots etc make it seem so fun! Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next week.
ReplyDeleteWow, That looks like so much fun! Love the marching band. I went to a Penn State game back in 1991 When I was travelling the USA from Australia. I hardly watched the game. I was mesmerised by everything else going on. The cheerleaders, the marching band, the crowd, the mascots. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the insight into the American College Football experience. It is all so exciting and lively. Thanks for being on the #DreamTeam. We would love to see you back next week and would really appreciate it if you could add the linky badge.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, Patrick. I love the adventurous life you lead, exploring different nuances of places and things around you. More power to you!
ReplyDeleteHave a brilliant new week.
