Every so often I like going out to the San Francisco Airport to see what they have going on. They always have great exhibits. I saw one recently called Caticons-The Cat in Art:
France- Early 20th Century |
England- 18th-19th Century |
Netherlands 18th century |
France 19th century |
Europe-late 19th Century |
England- Late 19th Century |
Japan- Late 19th Century |
China- 18 Century |
I have a friend who would have loved that exhibit!
ReplyDeleteMy sister has had a cat art collection for decades - after viewing the beautiful photos I think she needs more sculptures.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the cat in art photos! They remind me of all the cats who have been in my life over the years. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, I enjoyed it very much! I love cats (my little darling just went outside), so cat art, yeah!
ReplyDeleteHi I'm just getting back to "normal" after an exhausting St. Paddy's but was all set for the 20th. I saw Ichiro on TV yesterday and it didn't look like he was retired but then again I keep watching games from last year so it could have been that. But that was cool that he did that, did you see the game? $400 sounds reasonable but I don't get season tickets like my cousins do. I decided to become more of a Brewer's fan which I begrudgingly started to be last year because they surprised me and everyone else. Still a Dodger fan though but I really miss Vin Scully.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the cat art, I live pretty close to the airport here but it would never dawn on me to go there and I doubt there's art of any kind. You live in a great (but expensive) city.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great exhibit. I enjoyed seeing depictions of cats in all kinds of forms and from all around the world. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment on today's post.

Happy Caturday! This is an excellent exhibition . I'm allergic to cats, but these would not bother me. I've never been to San Francisco, but my dad was stationed there with the Navy at the end of WWII.
ReplyDeleteWow, what an interesting exhibit! Thanks for sharing -
