I am on Spring Break and will be away but here are some RAS pics that I have taken in my travels while walking around:
|
Who remembers Hills Bros. Coffee |
|
Found another Heroes and Hearts |
|
This is an actual "Green Book". The Green Book was published by Victor Green from 1936 until 1963 and it was used by African Ameican motorists around the country to find places that were friendly to African-Americans |
And some things from work:
|
Playing with a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach |
|
Sometimes I just need to have my brain cleaned |
|
Danny Glover came by one day. |
Just some RAS pics from my travels in life.
Great shots.
ReplyDeleteFun photos and nice variety! Enjoy your Spring Break!
ReplyDeleteHa! We literally just watched Danny Glover in the Old man and the gun. Last night.
ReplyDeleteWhat great shots especially the last one ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a tanfastical week :-)
I like the octopus.
ReplyDeleteThat cockroach is huge! They've been around, since the dinosaurs.
That brain, lol. We had fun with a gummy heart one Halloween season. Cool topiaries, the octopus is very cool. I think the bottom of my shoe would play with that thing, blech—do they really hiss?
ReplyDeleteThey hiss big time. We had a human heart, lungs and a liver besides the brain to show off. I was only allowed to take one photo and I decided on the brain.
DeleteEeek! I wouldn't touch that Madagascar Hissing Cockroach with a ten-foot pole!!! Cool photos!!!
ReplyDeleteReally cool pics! That octopus shrubbery is pretty neat.

Wow! You are having an amazing spring break,Patrick! How cool that you met Danny Glover! I liked the topiary and the Heroes and Hearts, and I was interested to learn about The Green Book. How sad that something like that had to exist. I am glad we have moved on as a society, although I appreciate we still have a long way to go in some ways. Thank you for sharing, and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link party. Congratulations on being featured at Friendship Friday at Create with Joy this week too! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteOk, so the bug freaked my out a bit. I definitely wouldn’t want that one in my hand. Or in my sight, for that matter. But other than that, great photos. Enjoy your spring break and thank you for sharing at The Really Crafty Link Party this week!
ReplyDeleteThose topiaries are amazing! The bug on the other hand, yuck! ha-ha!

ReplyDeletesome great pics, gosh bugs are fascinating but a hissing cockroach I am not sure about, however I am sure it has its purpose in our ecosystem!
