I am a big fan of interesting street art and I am always finding in different places. These I found near Lake Merritt in Oakland:
And then a day later I was walking at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and saw Capurro's Restaurant and thought it was cool:
I know that we are living in some serious crazy and sad times right now and I am praying for each and everyone who comes by this blog and is wishing everyone good health.
Great murals, love the Smurfs one, it's been ages since a watched a "smurfs" tv episode.
ReplyDeleteThe fish and the statue of the Capurro restaurant are great!
Thanks for contributing.
Wonderful art! I also posted street art today!
ReplyDeleteThose fish are fantastic! Really made me smile!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some talented cartoonists/artists. Would be fun to know how to do that...I don't..sigh. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteSuch colourful street art. The fish and the bubbles are great. Wishing you good health too. #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteI do love street art - people are so clever and creative. To be able to paint like that and do it to scale on an uneven surface is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM 😊
I love these! Nice set of photographs.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I was in Oakland once when I was 14 yrs. old. I just graduated grammar school two days before my birthday June 13th & my brother was in the Navy & we went to go see him in San Diego. It was awesome. He was on the U.S.S. Mars & the U.S.S. Aludra. He was on a supply ship off the coast of Viet Nam. We were on it too we got a tour & it was awesome. Love your pics too my friend. I should gto take pics of our downtown here in my neighborhood to show you. They have the whole side of the building Walgreens is in painted & it's cool. I will I'll do that so you can see. Have a great week & weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous artwork all around. I love them all :)

Always love discovering street art like that. I particularly like the fish.
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying safe during all of this.
So bright and colourful, Patrick! Just what we need at the moment isn't it? Love the old sailor and the barrow. Thanks for sharing at #MLSTL and take care.

ReplyDeleteHave an artistictastic week :-)
Patrick,
ReplyDeleteGreat display of delightful street art to bring smiles to anyone's face who happens on them either in person or here in Blogosphere. Saying prayers that you and your family stay well in the days to come. Hopefully none of us will be infected with this virus. Take care, my friend and thanks for joining my Wild Wednesdays linky party!
The fish ones are super fun. I miss Saturday morning Smurfs! They were so popular when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteLove these :) Thanks for linking up to the Wednesday Link Up Hope you can stop by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love the painted wheelbarrow. Thanks for linking up on Amanda’s Books and More and thanks for your prayers! Sending a prayer your way too.
ReplyDeleteThis is some seriously cool art! And a happy distraction from the current state of things. I would love to take this time to go out and explore more but alas, we New Yorkers are ordered to not leave our homes at all. So no exploratory hikes or walks for me any time soon. Thanks for sharing something bright and linking up with me, Patrick! Stay safe.

Thanks for these cheery pictures. Gloomy times, yes Patrick. But this too shall pass. Atleast we have come together as a global community and we got each others back.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, stay happy. God speed.
