The Hayward Community Garden was opened in 2019. It is an area that has over 200 plots for Hayward residents to grow their own fruits and vegetables. People can rent 20x20 plot for $300 a year with a two-year lease:
It is pretty cool that my city has created a space for people the grow their own food.
I love the idea of community gardens. It seems like they're coming back into fashion in different parts of the world, which is lovely to see.

ReplyDeleteThis is so great, Patrick! I think community gardens are such a wonderful idea! They opened one a few years ago at Fort Drum on the Army base because the housing units have teeny tiny yards. Thanks for sharing and linking with me.
