There is a place in San Francisco that is too cool. It is the Music City Hotel. I didn't even know it existed. The really cool thing is that it has the San Francisco Music Hall of Fame Gallery.
San Francisco has been a goldmine of diverse music talent for decades. Every style and genre of music has been popular. The bricks outside the building start to tell the story:
And once inside, the story of history of the San Francisco scene starts to unfold:
Count Five-A cornerstone of garage rock |
An early picture of Metallica |
Tower of Power |
Adam Durst of the Counting Crows |
Mc Hammer |
That's one place I'd love to visit, BIG Janis fan here.

I also didn't know the San Francisco Music Hall of Fame Gallery existed. Too bad I'm just finding out now - my husband and I visited San Francisco in 2012 (and we loved the city). Seemed to be a really interesting place for music lovers (and we are!)
ReplyDeleteI like your blog motto above - and by the way, I also took a look at your "Weirdness of Me" blog - I would have been interested in what you have to say in it.
All the best from Austria and happy days! π·☘️π·
